Rather than telling her to kick the loser to the curb, or suggest that she give her husband an ultimatum, they told her she needed to put out more. And do more housekeeping, cook tastier meals, maybe lose a couple of kilos, and shower her husband with praise.

There’s an interesting phenomena in life where trends tend to create countertrends. The article titled Regressive marital advice is a great example of this.  It describes how the feminist movement has created a countertrend, or a new niche if you like, to emerge in exactly the opposite direction – a return to subservient old-fashioned wives.

It’s interesting to see how a movement in one direction can almost create a movement in another direction. Apple comes to mind. As more and more fanboys emerged they effectively created an alternate movement away from Apple.
